Global fraud attack rates rise again

Last year, the number of fraud attacks grew faster, pushing the global rate up by 8%. Although some expected this to be higher due to artificial intelligence (AI), fraud is continuously evolving, so detection systems and regulations are constantly updated. Attack growth in 2025 was predominantly through browsers rather than apps, with a decline in mobile app attacks highlighting how businesses are strengthening their defences.
