Has last month’s volatility strengthened the case for UK stocks?

Equity investors went through it all last month, as President Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ announcements sent markets into a panic. Markets stabilised as the month drew to a close, but uncertainty remains in the US. Continuous U-turns have affected Government bonds, as the current volatility unnerves investors. European markets continue to outperform those stateside, but the month ended with them down; the FTSE had fallen by 1%.
