Active ETFs gain ground across Europe

Over the past two years, the European Active ETFs market has doubled in size, despite making up less than 3% of total ETF assets on the continent. There have been new entrants into the market, such as Avantis, Goldman Sachs and HSBC. A competitive market has helped to reduce Active ETF fees, although they are still higher than passive options.
The number of new ETF launches has hit record highs this year, with closures remaining low; managers of active mutual funds that previously disregarded the ETF wrapper can now take advantage of its popularity.
